An exceptional week dedicated to children, punctuated by games, animations and shows, all 100% free, with to conclude the week, the unmissable Champions’ Race on Sunday 8th April. Organised in partnership with the Portes du Soleil, this great end of season race takes place on the Pléney-Nyon ski area (Morzine). Dedicated to children aged 8 to 17, it’s an opportunity for the children and the Portes du Soleil champions to meet and spend some time together, members and ex-members of the French or Swiss national teams, mixing all disciplines (downhill skiing, Nordic combined, handisport, cross-country skiing, snowboarding, ski mountaineering, telemark...). A unique opportunity to enter the big kids playground, coached by champions (Yohann Taberlet, Johann Baisamy, Alexis Sevennec, Anthony Chalençon, Adeline Baud-Mugnier, Ben Cavet, Didier Blanc, Félix Cottet-Puinel and Antonin Guigonnat) who will guide and advise all the participants. Open to local ski-club members, to local non-members, it’s also open to visitor children who’ll have the possibility to qualify themselves throughout the season and to take part in this great end of year event! To be selected, they’ll have to sign up to the Flèche, a giant slalom contest, organised each Thursday by the ESF – with no requirement of having taken lessons. Children who qualified will therefore have the opportunity to return and take part in the end of season race and to compete against Morzine and local children. The event takes place at the end of the special ‘Morzine Loves Children’ themed week which offers many advantages such as discounted tariffs on accommodation, lift passes, swimming pool and ice-rink entry.

Rock the Pistes 8th Edition: From 18th to 24th March 2018
Started in 2011, this festival adventure was originally a wild concerts event. The idea: Informing the festival goers of the artist name and the location by text message on the day, giving a chance to discover the great playground in which they were set. Just 100 spectators were present for the first few concerts, today, 5000 to 7000 people meet here. It has become a landmark in the world of festivals and is the 1st to take place in the season. A fantastic atmosphere where dancing is done in ski boots, snow ball fights are XXL, and «Encore» calls are attempted with gloves on... A unique experience in a magical setting. French and international artists take the temporary stages, set above 1500m high between France and Switzerland. Each day a new place, therefore an event requiring impressive logistical skills. Stages and equipment are installed and taken down within a few hours to be transported to different locations sometimes at night. No margin for error, all transportation is made by piste basher and snowmobile... Past artists have included: Rag’N Bone Man, Deluxe, Izia, Lilly Wood and the Prick, Caravan Palace, Selah Sue, Charlie Winston, Breton, BBrunes.
