Explore French Ski Resorts with the Ski Club of Great Britain

Tuesday 2nd December 2025

Ski Club Reps are your built-in ski buddies, ready to make your winter holiday more social and enjoyable, whether you're carving groomers in Europe or hunting powder in North America. They’re the friendly faces you can team up with for lift rides, mountain explorations, and après drinks, helping you meet fellow Ski Club members who share your passion for the slopes. While they’re enthusiastic ambassadors, they won’t guide or plan your day; instead, everyone decides together how and where to ski, shaping a mountain experience that matches the group’s mood and sense of adventure.

However, if you’re looking to develop your turns, esf’s highly trained instructors are there to help you unlock your full potential. As the largest ski school in France and the world, esf boasts more than 17,000 instructors across multiple disciplines. Whether you prefer a focused one-hour lesson or an immersive week-long program, they can tailor a personalised coaching plan just for you.

Méribel
Long been a British favourite, Méribel is the go-to for its bustling village and extensive skiing opportunities. The ski area is well balanced, with something for every type of skier. Part of the large Three Valleys ski network, you’re unlikely to be bored in Méribel. Ski Club Reps have thorough knowledge of the region and are happy to assist with member-meetups, whether it’s on piste or in the bar!

Tignes
Tignes remains a top choice among Ski Club members, so much so that this winter the resort will have two Reps on hand. Its high-altitude slopes, guaranteed snow, and lively atmosphere make it a destination people return to again and again. With the chance to ski alongside plenty of fellow members, this French resort is a must on your winter itinerary.

Les Arcs
Les Arcs is an excellent ski resort for families, with plenty of beginner and intermediate pistes as well as non-skiing activities. If some of your family opt for instruction during the day, it gives a great opportunity to meet up with a Ski Club Rep and explore the mountain with other visitors. With more than 200 km to discover across four purpose-built resorts, it’ll keep you busy until the lifts close!

Val Thorens
Val Thorens, perched beside Méribel, forms part of the world’s largest ski area. Famous across Europe, it attracts visitors with its stunning slopes and vibrant alpine atmosphere. Forget the stress of reading a ski map, team up with the Ski Club Rep and discover the resort’s extensive terrain, soaring heights, and breathtaking views. Whether you’re here for the skiing, the scenery, or the lively après-ski scene, Val Thorens promises an experience that’s as thrilling as it is unforgettable.

Morzine
A longtime go-to among Brits, Morzine feels like a home-away-from-home in the Alps. Since Ski Club Reps returned in 2024, it’s become a popular meeting spot for club members. Linked to beginner-friendly Les Gets and just a short bus ride from Portes du Soleil via Avoriaz, the town suits every kind of skier. From first-time learners in Les Gets to those tackling the Swiss Loop, the region offers something for all.
