At an altitude of 1850m, the resort of Risoul offers a ski area of 185km of ski runs which are connected with the resort of Vars: The White Forest!
It is located in the Southern Alps (part of Hautes-Alpes) in the heart of Guillestrois and at the gates of the Ecrins National Park and the Queyras Regional Natural Park.
The resort of Risoul 1850 dominates the Guil valley and the Fort of Mont-Dauphin (which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site).
The resort is accessed via a 13km winding climb (which regularly sees the Tour de France) and passes some pretty hamlets including L'Eglise, Gaudissard, Languieu, Villaret & Barbeinc.

Features of the resort
Risoul is mainly composed of buildings and chalets covered with wooden shingles and integrates well into the forest that surrounds it.
The seasonal activities are concentrated in the centre of the resort which allows you a car free stay (there is a free shuttle service within the resort which links Guillestre to Risoul).
Awarded with the Famille Plus label, Risoul has developed all its services, facilities and activities especially for children to enjoy.
By taking the Plate de la None chairlift (which goes to the top of the slopes on the Risoul side) you will connect with the resort of Vars, together these resorts form the ski area of La Forêt Blanche (The White Forest), totalling 185 kilometres of slopes.
